We finished doing our exterior remodel on our house just a few days before Christmas. It was nearly two months from start to finish. We started by putting on a new 40 year composition shingle roof and replacing lots of rotten facia and soffit boards. Next we put in all new windows - 18 of them. Then we painted the exterior - ALL OF IT! I was ready to move past the "terracotta" colored brick and trim and went for a more traditional look to Beige and Black. We also had Pike's soon-to-be Big Boy Room retextured, painted and put up crown moulding. As soon as I get all my junk out of it, I plan on working to get him in his big boy bed.
We still have a long list of remodeling we want to do to this house, but now that we have this big part behind us, the others will be much easier to tackle. Up next is both of the living rooms - hopefully in the next year!

The morning after Christmas.....what's better than playing with all your new toys in your diaper and jammies? This Bob the Builder tool table came from Aunt Linnsey and Jason. You can't even see through the goggles because of all the greasy little boy fingerprints on them!

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and a wonderful new year.
Please keep our family in your prayers. I have one grandfather in the rehab unit at VBMC because he had a stroke in mid-December. I have the other grandfather in ICU in McAllen because he just had a triple bypass and valve replacement. Both grandmothers could be doing better too! Lots of stress right now!
